Our client builds and operates fairground attractions all over Europe. Its fairground ride XXL is a large spinning pendulum, 22 metres in length, with four five-seater gondolas at one end. VIRO’s Engineering Analysis Department performed structural calculations for the ride in accordance with DIN 4112 and compiled a TÜV-compliant certification report.
Fairground ride tasks
Our calculations included a dynamic analysis of the structure and fatigue assessments of all its welded, pinned, and bolted joints. To classify welds, Engineering Analysis uses a program it has developed itself and which has been approved by TÜV. Thanks to this technology, we are able to analyse welds very quickly for fatigue.
