VIRO celebrates a successful debut at ILA Berlin 2026
First-ever participation in the leading aerospace trade fair strengthens VIRO’s position in the aerospace sector
With its first participation in ILA Berlin 2026, the VIRO Group, represented by its Berlin and Hengelo offices, has sent a strong signal regarding the further expansion of its activities in the aerospace sector. As one of the world’s most important trade fairs for aerospace, aviation, defence and space, the ILA brings together international companies, research institutions, politicians and decision-makers, offering the ideal platform for innovation, technology and networking.
At the joint stand of the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB), VIRO presented itself as an engineering partner for demanding development and industrial projects. The focus was on the company’s extensive expertise in the fields of design, plant development, simulation, automation and test and inspection systems for the aerospace sector. A particular highlight at the stand was the 3D model of a crosswind blower on display, which inspired numerous trade visitors to engage in in-depth discussions about innovative engineering solutions.

Why VIRO was participating in the ILA for the first time
VIRO’s first-ever participation in the ILA was a logical step towards expanding the company’s presence in the rapidly growing Berlin-Brandenburg aerospace cluster. Through its independent subsidiary, VIRO Berlin GmbH, VIRO is specifically strengthening its ties with customers and partners in one of Germany’s most innovative aerospace regions. The ILA provided the ideal opportunity to deepen existing customer relationships, forge new contacts and showcase the company’s international engineering expertise to a high-calibre specialist audience.
During the trade visitor days, numerous visitors took the opportunity to discuss VIRO’s engineering services. Solutions for complex development projects, specialised machinery, test benches and the implementation of innovative technologies throughout the entire product development process were in particularly high demand.
There was also considerable interest during the public weekend of the fair. Alongside Europe’s largest space exhibition, air shows, satellite and space technology, and numerous aircraft and helicopters on display captivated an international audience. The ILA thus once again confirmed its role as a key platform for the future of aerospace.
Personal dialogue as the key to success
Throughout the exhibition, the VIRO team focused on engaging in face-to-face dialogue with customers, partners and interested parties. This direct exchange enabled them to discuss current challenges facing the industry and to showcase bespoke engineering solutions for future projects.
“Our first appearance at the trade fair absolutely exceeded our expectations. The quality of the discussions and the keen interest in our services show that we are on the right track with our strategic focus on the aerospace sector. The ILA was the ideal venue for us to further expand our network and initiate new collaborations. It also demonstrated that the aerospace sector has recovered following the pandemic and that both the local and the wider German space and defence industries are gaining in international significance. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to everyone who helped organise the event and took part,” summarised Christoph Schulz, Branch Manager at VIRO Berlin GmbH.
