New production lines Bolletje

With a more than 140 years long history, “Bolletje” has been an A-brand in the Netherlands for 60 years and can be found in the shelf of nearly every supermarket chain. The aim to produce handmade quality comes from the earliest beginning as a family business since 1867, but is still one of the columns of the company. Two years ago we were asked to develop, together with Bolletje, a strategy for the optimization of production in the current three locations. Starting points were cost savings, quality and efficiency improvement. This study documented with financial data resulted, that a new production line for biscuits was created and the production capacity of crispbread was expanded to another production line. We provided the project management, including engineering, the specification of the parts to be procured, construction supervision and acceptance. Project Manager Mark Dalhoeven: “We had strong customer focus, and made the decisions together. But the trust really has to be earned, because what we do now, affects the product quality – A nice project that is now in the implementation phase.”
